This dense and refined version of the original La Nuit De L’Homme is perfect for date nights. It is sensual, attractive, and perfectly sophisticated making it a perfect option for a signature scent. - YSL L’Homme Libre – 2011. This energetic fragrance is very different than the others in this line. Its spiciness is much fresher making it . It was gone after 3-4 hrs..... (the cardamom-cinnamon combo is very weak now). It was sort of like the Aqua Di Gio of modern date scents.Following this track, I accepted to make a funny, similar work, with another acclaimed male scent: La Nuit de l'Homme EdT, by Yves Saint Laurent, performing tests, then checking "formulas" on the boxes and discussing the results.
I think the first formulation is pretty magnificent, almost flawless in it’s composition, whereas I found the 2nd version grading and borderline unwearable. I’ve had multiple bottles of each and ended up selling the reformulation bottles every time after a handful of wears.
