A replacement 1441 or the equivalent ETA 255.561 seems impossible to find but according to my research the Cal. 1438/1538 or ETA 255.461/462 are direct physical . The Seamaster 200 was available in a full size version (40 mm w/o crown) official size 8.85 x 38.5 x 43.5 and a midsize (38mm w/o crown) official size 8.7 x 36 x 41. There are some subtle differences in the two sized dials. A replacement 1441 or the equivalent ETA 255.561 seems impossible to find but according to my research the Cal. 1438/1538 or ETA 255.461/462 are direct physical substitues. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. I can get a new ETA 255.461/462 but the specs indicate 23.3 mm outside diameter and the Cal. 1441 measures 23.9mm. The Omega 1441 is known for being one of the rare TC movements used by Omega, the others being the 1445 and the 1680, but what makes it even rarer is that it was only used for a year or so in 1988/89 before Omega went back to the non TC 1438 (now 1538).

There were two types of quartz movement in these watches a cal 1441 and cal 1438. This configuration (caseback, crown and mercedes hands) you show was the earliest (1988-89) and should have the cal 1441, a very accurate movement that .

You can only find the 1441 used. I actually have two NOS 1441 movements, purchased from a Swiss dealer off of eBay. There is no modern equivalent from ETA or Omega. The 1441 was replaced with the 1438, later replaced by the 1538. Someone please correct me if I'm getting the numbers wrong. Not sure if the thermocompensated circuit is still available; I looked a couple of years ago and they were around £80 vs £18 for the 1438 circuit (ETA 255.461 is identical). Should anyone have problems my strong advice is to fit the simpler circuit from . Due to its condition, I don't want to spend the 0 for a new cal 1441, is there a modern substitute from ETA that will fit? How about the ETA 955.412 or ETA 955.414? These list the same measurements and are much more common and lower price.Discover the iconic Vintage OMEGA® Watch Seamaster 200 "Pre-Bond" DB 396.1041, created in 1988 by OMEGA®! Omega had originally designed the New James Bond Model SMP Quartz with the 1438 cal. movement but it was also suppose to have the 1441 cal. dual oscillator and thermo-compensated timing board. My watch has that combination and runs consistently in the 4 SPY accuracy range.
